There are three basic requirements for the installation of the horizontal centrifugal pump inlet pipe:
1, not leaking. Absorption of air in the suction line is not allowed, otherwise serious operation failure may occur in the horizontal centrifugal pump. When entering the air, the horizontal centrifugal pump will reduce the amount of water, and even do not suck up the water.
2, no gas. When the vacuum value of the suction tube of the horizontal centrifugal pump reaches a certain value, the dissolved gas in the water will not continuously escape due to the reduction of the pipeline pressure. If the connection of the suction pipeline is considered improper, the product will appear in a certain section of the suction pipeline. Air, forming airbags, affects the ability to pass water, and in severe cases it will damage the vacuum. In order to enable the horizontal centrifugal pump to drain the air in the suction pipe in time, the suction pipe should have a slope that rises in the direction of the water flow, so that the highest point of the suction line is at the top of the suction port of the horizontal centrifugal pump, and the slope is generally greater than 0.005. So as not to form a balloon. The section of the suction pipe should generally be larger than the section of the horizontal centrifugal pump suction inlet, so that the loss of the head of the pipeline can be reduced. The reducing tube on the suction pipeline can adopt an eccentric reducing tube to keep the upper side of the reducing tube horizontal and avoid airbag formation.
3, do not inhale. When the suction depth of the inlet of the suction pipe is insufficient, a large amount of air is generated due to the turbulence generated by the water flow at the inlet. In severe cases it will also damage the normal suction of the horizontal centrifugal pump. Therefore, the depth of inundation of the suction pipe inlet at the lowest water level should not be less than 0.5 to 1.0 meters.
The diameter of the outlet pipe of the horizontal centrifugal pump is equal to the outlet diameter of the horizontal centrifugal pump. In order to reduce the head loss of the outlet pipe, it can also be larger than the outlet diameter of the horizontal centrifugal pump (usually 50 mm larger).
